Brighter Days Africa
WE HELP CHILDREN
MAKE DREAMS COME TRUE
Uganda based privately organised aid organisation for children by Christina & Bode
About us
MAKING A DIFFERENCE – TOGETHER
From August to October 2023, I spent 3 months in Uganda via Workaway. It was another step towards my dream. My wish was to immerse myself completely in life there, in everything, and to get in touch with the local people.
Thanks to donations from kind and generous people in Germany, we bought a sterilization machine for a little hospital and gave out school materials to school children.
I soon started to develop my own ideas, which my Ugandan friends helped me to realize.
Bode & Christina, founder of ‘Brighter Days Africa‘
We distributed bags of food, each with a worth of 20 euros, to 12 families with many children.
Once a week, we brought joy to around 50 street children at the supermarket in Mbale with bread, apples and a small sweet that I had lovingly made for them.
I met Bode, when I was in Uganda for the first time in 2023.
I soon experienced how lovingly Bode treats children. This infinite love that emanates from him, for all the people around him and especially for children, touched my heart deeply.
We soon realized that we share the same deep love to the children and that we have a shared vision and a shared dream for the children in Uganda and decided to change something together and to make a difference together.
Love,
Christina & Bode
The founder
There is still so much more to do in Uganda. There is a lack everywhere, a lack of education, food, clothing, shelter and love. There are so many more children who would be happy to receive support, so many more children who wish a chance of a better life.
I wanted to immerse myself completely in life in Uganda. I am there, I have arrived, where I always wished to be.

I am Christina from Germany.
As a young girl, I saw starving African children in the news, with big bellies, thin arms and skinny legs.
That touched me so much and affected me so deeply that it was very clear to me at that moment: “When I have been grown up, I will go to Africa and help the children there!”
This wish has accompanied me my whole life over all the years.
There were some opportunities to take the first steps, however – at that time – I did not have enough courage.
Life had other plans for me, including strokes of fate such as the illness and death of my mum.
Now, my time has come to fulfill my wishes and dreams and I am going to Uganda, forever, to help the children and to be there for them.
Me, my heart and my soul are so infinitely happy! I am there, I have arrived, where I always wished to be.
I would like to dedicate my life to being a guardian for those who are unfortunate to not have parents or someone else.

Innocence is often exploited, especially in children, whose natural state is happiness and joy. Seeing these children denied the chance to simply be carefree and happy pains me deeply. Their innocence has inspired me to dedicate my life to protecting them and ensuring they are not exploited. My goal is to support these joyful little ones, allowing them to live the life they deserve – a life filled with happiness, joy, and brighter days.
Mission & Vision
We would like to make a difference
In Uganda, thousands of children face significant barriers to accessing a quality education, which in turn limits their potential and future opportunities. Despite these challenges, we firmly believe that every child deserves the chance to thrive, irrespective of their background or circumstances.
Our aim is to facilitate access to quality education, essential resources and life-changing opportunities for children in Uganda.
By doing so, we aspire to empower them to break the cycle of poverty and realize their full potential.
It’s about love
We would like a better life for all the poor and disadvantaged children in Uganda, a life …
in love and security,
We also would like every child to be seen, heard and taken seriously and to feel comfortable.
It is about appreciation, encouragement, self-confidence, strengthening their abilities and the belief that everything is possible in life if you go for it.
It is about hope.
And above all, it is about love!
Every child is valuable!
We would like to make a difference!
We would like to give our love to the children and let them shine brightly.
Our DREAM is to give all the poor and disadvantaged children
the chance to shine and to MAKE their DREAMS COME TRUE.
Values
Your donation, your impact
At Brighter Days Africa, we believe that trust grows through honesty. That’s why we make our financial processes open and easy to follow. Every donation is documented, every project is explained, and every result is shared.
From financing important educational opportunities for our children, providing school supplies, clothing, and food, to additional projects. We want to be transparent about how your donation is used.

What your donation is used for
Support our children
‘Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world. ‘
– Nelson Mandela
This wonderful quote also speaks in favour of our commitment to start exactly where it has the strongest power to bring about change. It is the children who experience hope, are allowed to learn and can change the world as a result – on a small or large scale.
However, in order to be able to concentrate fully on learning, several factors go hand in hand. The feeling of being safe, having enough to eat and drink, feeling loved. Things that we sometimes take for granted.
At the moment, we are able to make it possible for two girls to attend a good school for this school year.
With your help, we are planning on helping more children and making sure their upcoming school fees and supplies are paid.
Even the smallest help makes a big difference in a child’s life.

Beatrice & Paul
Their father, a very good doctor from Shawin Foundation Hospital, suddenly died in August 2024. With his death all of us lost a wonderful man who helped a lot of people. Without his income his wife can’t pay the school fees for her 7 children anymore.
So, we would like to give the love back which „Uncle Paul“ gave to us and a lot of people during his life time, and would like to support his children and give them a chance for a better and brighter life.
